Tragic Fire in Indore Warehouse Claims Lives of Two Female Workers

Fire Incident in Indore Warehouse

A devastating fire broke out in a warehouse storing thinner, a chemical commonly used in industries, in Indore on Saturday night, resulting in the deaths of two female workers. The owner of the warehouse also suffered burns, as reported by a police official.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Alok Sharma, the fire ignited in the warehouse located in the Rau police station area while lamps were being lit in celebration of Devuthani Ekadashi.

The deceased have been identified as Jyoti and Ramkali, both approximately 50 years old. Sharma mentioned, 'A prayer ceremony was being held at the warehouse for Devuthani Ekadashi, and the owner, Suraj Bhagwani, was present at the scene.'

Bhagwani sustained burns to both hands and was admitted to a nearby hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.

Sharma also noted that two children were present in the warehouse during the incident but managed to escape safely. Initial investigations revealed that the warehouse was involved in mixing and packaging thinner with other chemicals.

The fire has since been extinguished, and a thorough investigation into the incident is currently underway.
